all countries

The country profiles are aiming at presenting some qualitative thematic information on each country’s humanitarian historical background, trends, stakeholders and education.

Despite a broad consensus on the aims and roles of humanitarian action, each country is presenting some specific understanding and development of the humanitarian sector.

Themes such as scope of intervention, state humanitarianism, turning point in the humanitarian development process, roles of international organisations, type of stakeholders, sectorial focus or humanitarian education have been identified being key elements of differentiation but also of potentialities for building common grounds and understandings.
